Infrared Sauna
What is an infrared sauna?
An infrared sauna uses infrared light waves to gently heat your body from the inside out.
Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air, infrared saunas warm your body directly, allowing you to sweat deeply at lower, more comfortable temperatures.
How is an infrared sauna different from a traditional sauna?
Infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures and feel more breathable and relaxing. Clients often find them easier to tolerate while still experiencing a deep, detoxifying sweat.
What are the benefits of infrared sauna sessions?
Common benefits include:
Deep sweating and detox support
Muscle recovery and joint relief
Stress reduction and relaxation
Improved circulation
Skin health and post-sauna glow
Results may vary, but many clients notice benefits with consistent use.
About Infrared Saunas
What should I expect during my first session?
You’ll feel a gentle, warming heat and may begin sweating within 5–10 minutes. It’s normal to feel very relaxed during and after your session. First-time users are encouraged to start slow and listen to their body.
What temperature should I use?
We recommend starting lower and working your way up:
First-time users: 110–120°F
Regular users: 120–140°F
Experienced users: 140–150°F
Infrared saunas are effective without extreme heat — hotter is not necessarily better.
How long should my session be?
First visit: 25 minutes
After a few sessions: 25 or 45 minutes
Maximum recommended session length is 45 minutes.
How often can I use the infrared sauna?
Beginners: 1–2 times per week
Wellness & maintenance: 2–3 times per week
Recovery & athletic use: Up to 4 times per week
Consistency matters more than session length.

Preparations & Safety
Should I use the sauna before or after my haircut?
For most clients, it’s up to your discretion. If you are a NSHR client, we highly suggest scheduling your sauna session BEFORE your maintenance or install.
Will I see results after one session?
Some clients notice immediate relaxation or improved muscle recovery, while others experience benefits over time.
Regular use provides the best results.
